Maria Cristina Volpi

Graduated in Performing Arts – Set design by the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (1985), Master’s Degree in Visual Arts by Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (1993), Doctorate Degree in History by Fluminense Federal University (2000). She did Post-Doctoral stage at the Post-Graduate Program in Science of Literature by College of Letters of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2009). She is associate professor of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. Has experience in the area of Arts with emphasis in History of Art, working on research on the following topics: Art and Material Culture, Appearance, Costumes and Fashion.
