Teacher in the Postgraduate Program of the School of Fine Arts at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). Member of the Brazilian Association of Art Critics (ABCA). Belongs to the International Association of Art Critics (AICA), the Historic and Geographic Institute of Rio de Janeiro (IHGRj), occupying chair no. 12, a distinguished Benevenuto Bernamember,and also to the Brazilian Committee of Art History (CBHA). Director of the School of Fine Arts at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (EBA/UFRJ) from 2002 to 2010. Master’s Degree in Philosophy from the Institute of Philosophy and Social Sciences at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (IFCS/UFRJ); Doctorate in History (IFCS/UFRJ). Several published works including Uma breve história dos salões de arte – da Europa ao Brasil, 2005,RJ (literally translated as abrief history of art galleries – from Europe to Brazil). Calligram for which she earned the ABCA’s Sergio Milliet Prize in 2006; several curatorships for exhibitions and publications. ABCA’s Gonzaga Duque. Prize (2012) for her work in 2011. Elected by the Brazilian Academy of Art, in 2013, to occupy the Victor Brecheret chair no. 19. Member of the Scientific Editorial Committee for the Convocarte magazine published by the University of Lisbon Faculty of Fine Arts.
