Carlos Terra

Graduate in Economics from the Catholic University of Pelotas (1986) and Master (1993) and Doctor (2004) of Visual Arts from the School of Fine Arts at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (EBA/UFRJ). Currently tenured associate professor and director of EBA/UFRJ. Assessor of institutions and higher education courses for the Ministry of Education’s National Institute for Educational Studies and Research (INEP). Experience in the arts, particularly landscaping, and currently working in the areas of history of art and history of gardening. Member of the Brazilian Committee of Art History (CBHA), the Brazilian Association of Art Critics (ABCA), the International Association of Art Critics (AICA) and the International Council on Monuments and Sites in Brazil (ICOMOS-Brasil). Organizer for Leituras Paisagísticas: teoria e práxis magazine (“Landscape Interpretation: theory and practice” – ISSN 1809-0540).
