SONIA GOMES PEREIRA is graduated in Museology (1967), has taken her Master´s degree in Art History at Pennsylvania University (1976), her PHD at Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (1992), and post doc studies at the Laboratoire du Patrimoine Français/CNRS in Paris (2000). She is titular professor at the Escola de Belas Artes / Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro. During the last years she has been concerned about the the artistic teaching at the Academy of Fine Arts at Rio de Janeiro.
